Just wanna say thanks, I should have said this the first time I used your tutorial a while back! Fortunately I bookmarked it, because my Virtual Machine just expired and I had to reinstall a new one and completely forgot how to get XP back on.

u noobs!! ppl don’t want to use ie6 because they like ir, there a lot of ppl who work in website programming, and obviously they need to test in some browsers, one is ie6.

Just use http://www.xenocode.com/browsers/

You can run older version of IE in Vista and Windows 7 :)

I am very happy to have found this thread. I am a network admin for a web developing company and we need to be able to test on IE 6. I am downloading the files now to test this on Vista. I will be very happy with a virtual PC running IE6, however it gets done as long as I can test. 500MB may be a big download but it will go fast enough on my 10MB i-net connection. It is very important for the company I work for to be sure we are cross browser compatible. If this works I will be able to sleep tonight and continue my Vista role-outs.

I too hate IE6. But due to more users of IE6 (Still XP is widely used OS now days.By default it has only IE6 as a default browser) a Cross browser compatibility is a big threat now a days for designers…

As a designer point of view, this thread rocks..keep up your good work.. :)

argh! will ie6 just die already! if i ever have to use it now it makes me feel sick.

I can’t believe anyone would want to do this.

It’s not really ie6 on vista though, is it? it’s ie6 on xp run virtually on vista.

sean (i hate ie6 and 7 for that matter)
