I just installed 7057 x64 last night and I'm blown away at how much nicer it is than XP.

I was one of those users that didn't have any issues with Vista and it never really gave me any problems, so I thought Vista trumped XP all day long. Not only that, but XP didn't run things nearly as efficiently "behind the scenes" (utilizing RAM and such) as Vista did.

Well, Win7 appears to be doing it even better than both of them.

In the limited seat time I've had with it in the ~9 hours since I finished the install and running after my daughter, getting to the gym and going to work this morning...I found that it runs everything noticeably quicker and my games (ranging from Crysis to Nascar 2003, Madden '08 to Richard Burns Rally) boot, run, and shut down noticably (again) quicker.

I probably wouldn't have bought Vista had it not came pre-installed on my last PC. But after upgrading that PC I don't see myself buying another one anytime in the next 2 years...but I'm definitely going to get Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit when it's released.

I have Build 7000 installed now, but there was no choice of 'flavors' with that build. Is it possible to install any version other than Ultimate with 7057? I'd like to try one of the Home versions, because that's what I'll probably buy when it comes out.
