For those who are still new and have a vague idea of what Yahoo Search Marketing (YSM) is all about, let me give you a brief introduction. Basically YSM is a form of search engine marketing, similar to Adwords and MSN Adcenter, that lets you create ads that appear in Yahoo search results (usually at the top and right side of the page) and other sites in the Yahoo! distribution network. If your website does not rank well in search engine and sales are not doing well because lack of targetted traffics, YSM might be a good alternative to improvise your performance. Joining into the PPC advertising program will ensure your website rank high up above other websites.
What's the catch?
In order to be entitled to the promotion you are required to deposit a minimum of $30. Make sure you never advertise with Yahoo in the last 13 months otherwise you won't be able to use the coupon. The qualifications might change from time to time, so always read the fine prints (usually at the bottom page) before signing up.
If you don't really bother about the next part and too eager to look out for the coupon simply skip this part and jump to the bottom of this post.
Registration steps
As this is my first post related to Yahoo Search Marketing, I think it's a good idea for me to give a brief walk-through on how to register with YSM. More importantly I can use this post as a reference when somebody ask me things related to the registration. Anyway, here the registration steps go.
1. Click on any promotion links at the bottom of this page. In order to make sure the promotion is still valid and not expired, take a look at the self-serve sign-up plan (picture below). If you choose
for $100 coupon, the same value should appear. Sometimes, the value might be different, most probably due to new promotion (I used to come across such an occurrence). If nothing appear, that means the coupon is already expired. So, pick up new promotion links and don't forget to let me know so that I can update the list.
2. Instead of being brought up directly to the activation & billing page, you are required to fill up things related to the advertising campaign. Don't worry about the details entered as you may change the details later on. Basically, you need to decide the market, choose keywords related to advertising, your daily budget, your bid for a click and customize the content of your ads.

3. So, after that you need to set up your account (username, password, contact information etc). Make sure everything is filled up correctly.
4. Finally, make sure the total you should get is correct. You can make the payment via credit card or Paypal. During my first registration I was only required to pay $5 for activation (now, minimum is $30).

The credit will not show up right away in your account, usually it takes between 3 to 5 days. Anyway I was lucky at that moment as I got it below 48 hours.

I’m really sorry to ask you, but I do not understand something: Yahoo gives me free of charge $100 worth coupon to advertise on Yahoo? Will it last forever and I can feel myself like someone with insider information or this is fully public and coupons can run out?
I might have misunderstanding problems as I’m not native English speaker.
It won’t last forever, after some time the coupons will expire. A coupon can be used multiple times by more than an individual.
it is great to get 100USd credit, but need pay USD30 is too bad :( not yet plan to invest so much yet…
previously sponsored review have give 100USD credit too, but no need deposit ant amount
YSM is a great tool when it comes to affiliates or arbitrage. Otherwise just stick to search engine optimization and hope the best from the natural flow.
Ehm..looks like we need to pay 30usd first. Its fine. I will try it soon.
Hey nice post.
I checked the free £60 credit for Yahoo and it looks like that offer is over.
Cheers
Nick :o)
Thank you for the coupon.
It works very well !
I’ve tried, I got, and I already made money from it.
Ka-ching…
Good to know it works :)
Thank You. It works for me. After two days, $100 credited in to my Account.
Great stuff! The coupon still works. Thanks a bunch eches!
still avalaible. thanks.
plz tell me how i get paid from ysm.i have already invested in it.but where i can see my profit.and how can i get it.
YSM will not pay you because it’s a Pay Per Click program that provide you platform to promote/expose your product/affiliate/website to highly targeted traffic. If you promote the right website (product, affiliate etc) chances of getting payment from those programs are pretty high.

I’ll take $80. :)

hello anyone there?

There was a big issue with yahoo using parked domains to display there adds with a very poor targeted rating it has since been clarified thanks to a class action against them not the best platform to use I’ve put a link in the name with a updated chart of all the promo codes available for advertising with all the main providers. Hope its helpfull.
