How To Fix Gizmos That Have Been Dropped In Water

I still remember vividly the old days when a friend a mine was in great despair to find his newly bought handphone (can't remember what model it was) was left spinned in washing machine for quite some time. Kaput is the only word that came across my mind; I was convinced there's no way of fixing it. This post however changed my mind.

Such an accident might not happen so often but when it happens you should know how to deal with it.

Here's the steps.

1. Act quickly. A wait-and-see approach may do more harm than good.
2. Turn off the device. Turning on a device exposed to water will cause even more problems.
3. Cover the device completely in a bowl of rice.
4. If possible let the battery (removable) dries up separately. Don't charge up and let the device off for roughly 24 hours.
5. Turn it on and let's hope for the best :)

Very useful information. I didn’t know that before. Next time if ever I face this problem, I will remember your words.
