How to detect Rapidshare Happy Hour

Rapidshare now comes back again with its Happy Hour. Lucky me, I had a chance to enjoy it yesterday. For those who are not familiar with this feature, it's actually a limited time frame provided by Rapidshare where free users don't have to input the "cats" CAPTCHAs and enjoy the same privilege as premium users (free unlimited download). Since this Happy Hour doesn't take place on regular basis (only opened when there's luxury of bandwidth), I'm sure our chance of finding Happy Hour is pretty slim.

Haris over at SIzzleCore has a nice share on how to get around this problem. Happy Cat, named after new feature in Rapidshare's CAPTCHA system, is a useful tool in detecting Happy Hour time. This little application will be running in the taskbar and will buzz you to let you know about Happy Hour time. So this application will ensure you to make full use of Rapidshare's generosity.

In order to make this little application fully functional you need to install Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5.

Why not just unplug and plug your dsl modem, seems to bypass the time limit for me.

It only works if you are at home. It doesn’t work in office.

Sorry, I forgot to drop direct link in my comment, guess you got it from my blog url. neway thnx for trying it out, and yeah, the extension wouldn’t appear anywhere in FF as it doesn’t have any user interface. It works in the background and displays a message whenever happy hours is active.

It’d be better if you didn’t host the Rapidshare cheating tool on Rapidshare. My browsers simply don’t work with Rapidshare unless it’s happy hour (I get an incorrect cat error, though I typed it righht, or I type it right and I get a javascript error), so it’s pretty useless if I have to scout out a happy hour in order to detect happy hours. Do you see the paradox?

I am happy to wait for my next download.Happy hour is good but I would not want to bypass the limits. be patient people. You will screw it up for the rest of us as more security will be put in place if you bypass.

i’ve been checking some websites a a lot of users are using the USD(universal share downloader) and they say that it works perfect to download all the files that they want ( one at a time) but i don’t know how to make it work, if you can help me with this lil problem i would really thank you for that, i have verizon fios and a actiontec router, i’d try to unplug it several times and it didn’t work. thanks in advance,

Sanjay – why don’t you just pay for an account? If you can afford a broadband account you can pay an extra few euros a month, can’t you?

    Use Cryptload…
It was made by a friend of mine and other guys…
you can open a container and choose “free” or “premium” if you have an account…
if you choose free it fills in the captchas automatically…
    just try it: http://www.cryptload.info
