I was learning how to code a wordpress theme from WPDesigner tutorial when an idea of making a complete overhaul on this blog struck my mind. Basically o2 2.0 is originated from the tutorial template where I further shape up the theme according to my like. It looks ok, so i think it would be great if I can share this theme with all of you.
Anyway here's the features of this theme.
Features :
- clean and simple ( the folder size is roughly 80kb)
- 3 columns
- sidebar widget ready
- XHTML + CSS valid
- Tested in Firefox, Internet Explorer 6, Opera, and Safari
- PSD and font used are included
Updates: Adsense Integration
1. Put 468x60 ads between <div id="header_r_ads"> and </div> in header.php
2. In style.css, go to "468x60 banner zone". Replace everything between #header_r_ads { and } with
margin:2px 0 0 30px; padding:0;
width:468px;
height:62px;
3. Find "background-image:url(images/ads-holder.jpg);" under #header_r
and delete it. So it should look like the following

I didn’t make the font size entirely global. If you want to change the font size of the posts you may change it in “.entry” in the css. Let me know which part you are working on.

Owh gosh, I overlooked your comment, calvyn. my bad. I was thinking of using few color like tiga theme by azhar. But it’s complicated, need to learn how it’s done though. I think it is suitable when the theme doesn’t require images.

I still can’t see ads-holder.jpg on the top (even at your webpage) because… My AdBlock Plus thinks that is still some Ad :) Although it’s only a picture, ADP qualifies it as a advertisement.

I am using O2 2.0
I want to make the sidebar_top width smaller to 180px and push it over to the right. I want to get rid of the lsidebar and stretch out the middle to use up the space. I see that the css controls the size of sidebar_top in #sidebar_top under width, but when I make it 180px, it moves to the center not to the far right.

Hi. I like this theme but I can’t figure out what’s up with Pages tabs on top. There are dummy ones in place that say page 1, page 2, etc. but I can’t seem to find where to remove them; and when I CREATE a page, it puts it in the sidebar and not in the tabs. Please help, thanks.

Hi Eches, thx for your brilliant theme..i have a question: in the box topright (tisdebar) i would like to put an ads, but the minimum resolution for an image ad with adsense is 200×200 and the box is heigth 154px, i changed the height, but its messed up as u know :) theres any chance to fit with the heigth 200 at least? thx in advance

hi simone, are you referring to o2 theme or langit theme? in o2, it shouldn’t be a problem but yup it is in langit. Langit was originally meant for my other blog (and I don’t intend in putting any ads over that place) but later on I decided to release to the public. My bad actually ~sigh

ok here i am with o2 theme, i have a question: in the box sidebar_top.php ive put an adsense with image of 200×200, but it shows up in all pages except the index..! how come? its blank in the index, i tried with all browsers :S
another issue is the font: 10px with verdana family is weird on firefox using WINDOWS its almost unreadable, i use mac so i havent noticied, but some people using win and firefox told me that (btw i changed the font in the css, co its not a problem anymore, is just to let u know :) )

First n foremost thanks for the feedbacks related to font etc. I got the same complaint to from other o2 users and I had improved in other themes (langit).
To answer your question, it’s most likely because Adsense does not allow publishers to put more than 3 adsense ads. Try to reduce number of ads in your posts (frontpage) and see if it works.
For what it’s worth currently I’m developing new theme and you can see it at http://vtechbuzz.com/area51/
Got some issues with how it appears in IE6 and that explains why it’s still not released

I now have Main category and “try” is subcategory for main. Both are now filed separately in the category. I want the “try” to be filed under Main so ppl knows “try” is a sub-category for Main.

go to Widget and find the Category widget and than click EDIT and u have to select the second and the thirs (Show post counts,Show hierarchy) THe first should not bee selected. :) Hope it works.

Hi, after Wordpress 7 I cannot get images to align to left or right using Wordpress. Is there something missing in the css file?

I figured out the solution myself :)
Just add the following lines to the css file:
img.alignright {float:right; margin:0 0 1em 1em}
img.alignleft {float:left; margin:0 1em 1em 0}
img.aligncenter {display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto}
a img.alignright {float:right; margin:0 0 1em 1em}
a img.alignleft {float:left; margin:0 1em 1em 0}
a img.aligncenter {display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto}

guys can anyone suggest me how to increase the width of the page? i would like to increse in in percentual and not in pixels, i tried to change in the css the wrapper then the header footer navigation and the container and the sidebar but its such a mess! any suggestion will be really appreciated, thx in advance
