At first I thought of making this new Wordpress theme exclusively for my new blog but after half way through of completing it I made up my mind to release Langit to the public. This theme was already ready couple of days ago but due to late release of Wordpress 2.5, I put the release on hold, just to make sure everything is fully compatible with Wordpress latest version.
Since gravatar is now part of the Wordpress entity and no longer a mere plugin, I employ this special feature into this theme and you can see this feature in comment section. For Wordpress users who still uses Wordpress 2.3.3 and below, you can still enjoy gravatar feature without the need of installing the plugin, special thanks to Connor Wilson for showing us on how to do that.
Ok here is the screenshot and features of my latest wordpress theme, Langit (translated as sky).

Hey Joe, thanks for using my theme. You can get around the problem by displaying the full entry. You need to replace
< ?php the_excerpt(__('Read more'));?>with
< ?php the_content('Read more..'); ?>It’s inside the index.php. From there you can use “read more” option to cater your need. I hope the solution serves you well :)

I think you need to compromise the logo height a little bit. Set the #logo height to 75px (in css).
Cut and copy everything from
< div class="menu">to
< /div><!-- menu -->and paste them below the following code.
<!-- header right -->After that you just need to play around with the width of .menu inside style.css to fit with your liking. I hope it works.

i fixed the problem, :),i was using a table for the ads before,i removed the table and inserted the ads and it displays fine,and now i’ve got a new problem,i probably edited something in one of the files which i cant isolate,its a small problem, all the text on my sidebar, the comments, the footer is all bold,and it looks pretty ugly,i doubt its the stylesheet coz i didnt modify it,and also the word ‘6 responses’ and ‘2 trackbacks’ are the same color as its background so i cant see it, any help? thanks again.

Just one thing.. In Firefox it looks sharp! In IE7 the page links along the top right (Home Wordpress Themes Links Sitemap Contact About Me ) are out of line or something? The hotspot area or whatever it is called is all wrong?

you can change the content in ‘about me’ through tsidebar.php
To change the image you need to look for
inside style.css. You can change the image file with other images as given in the instruction file.

I haven’t tried it yet. Try to change ‘.the_date’ inside style.css so that it is floated right instead of left. You probably need to play around with other things as well.

I really like this theme and I stated out using it; customizing it to my own liking and so far the only draw back is that I can’t use html in the sidebar. that’s one thing I really don’t like. I hate to not use this theme but as it is I need html capabilities. If you ever make this theme so that basic html works in the side bar let me know. like I said I really like this theme.

Krspies – I think you can always use html in the sidebar. Care to explain?
rich h @ there are few things you need to do. First you can only access to wp-content directory via FTP. You need to use CuteFTP or Filezilla. There are several more clients that you can use to access FTP
You may ask your hosting provider for login details. Let me know if find any trouble in getting this theme up.

ok so i got cuteftp and have connected to my wordpress blog. however, i still dont see the “wp-content” folder. i think i can access it when i type it into the heading, but there isnt a “themes” folder. i tried to create folder but its still no deal.
i can see the theme im using’s file, but nothin other than that.

You need to connect to
ftp. Try to browse through “www” or “public_html” and head to the directory where your wordpress resides. If your blog is at the root it should be somewhere in “www/wp-content/themes/”You need to upload the theme files inside the directory.After that go to admin panel (using your browser) and activate the theme that you just uploaded.

It works OK. The “not found” text highlighted in red only come up if the keyword you entered didn’t exist in your blog. Try “sfdssdfds” in my blog, it only returns “not found” text. If you type something more common keyword like “eches” it will list down all posts that contain the keyword “eches”
If that’s not the problem, let me know.
Speaking of your “other” blog, your sidebar looked a little bit cluttered. Let me know if you have trouble in resizing the sidebar width.

You don’t need to change the .sidebar width (it needs to be fixed), rather you just need to change the .lsidebar & .risdebar width. If you add up 10px for .lsidebar then you need to minus 10px for .rsidebar vice versa.
Tell me precisely about no.3 (where it happens etc). If it only happened in a single post, I think you modified something in your single.php and you accidentally deleted a “div” by mistake.
Make sure all “div”s have their own pairs.

I have 2 problems with it though, can you help?
First, pictures don’t appear in my posts on the main page, only when you go to the full post. My other themes show the pictures on the main page.
Second, in IE7 my page is out of alignment with the header, but not in Firefox.

I’m using a very, very, very modified version of this theme at http://www.illogicalmind.com .
I’ve done so much work to it that it’s barely recognizable, if at all, but of course I’ll still be giving proper credit.
It’s still a WIP. I still need to work on the comment area, maybe make the content area a little more narrow, and a few other misc. changes.
The three images with the dogs will eventually be different “feature” images to highlight latest posts and happenings.

I am using the Damai (green) theme on my blog. I would have LOVED this theme except that I dont understand why you chose to make it narrower rather than full width. Switching to a theme of a different theme does have plenty of issues with formatting, especially when using a lot of plugins etc. Can you please tell how to increase the width of this theme… or mayb you could do it and release another version?? Jeff – I did reply previously but some of comments throughout my blog went missing for no apparent reason including mine.
To answer your question, I’m not sure how it can be done on free wordpress account because you have limited access to it. You need FTP access to upload the theme files. If you have a domain and a hosting I’m more than happy to help you out.

just 2 “fixes”(?):
1-i need to show posts at their full lenght, not truncated as now, on main page
2-i’m not able to positioning images.
Also if i use the formatting WP function.
i have to pull out manually the border each one, plus i can ONLY put images at center of post

I have the same issue as Marco above – I absolutely LOVE the template – the one thing preventing me from launching is that I want the full posts to show without being truncated. I searched through the stylesheet and several other pages and couldn’t figure it out. Can you please let Marco and I know where the code is that truncates each post?

but when i activate the theme. and refresh the page. the adsenses gone.

how to add feed burner subscription as in this website. when i installed the Langit theme i cannot see feedbuner subscription email form on the top. only thing which can be seen is the about me info, and profile picture. when i change to block_subscribe.jpg in style.css as described in readme it only changes the background button not the information in the box. do i manually code it in tsidebar.php to add that subscription form? then how to do that? thank you for creating this amazing theme. i love it.

Great Template,
I am trying to mod this template and there are a couple things I would like to do that I need help with;
1) I would like to get rid of the adsense 336×280 box (I already found out where to delete the adsense code) and replace it with an about me/contact me type section where my email and info can be clickable. Can it be possibly be an html box or space to put a big widget.. like a picture slideshow box?
