Apple announced about its upcoming firmware 3.0 (see features list here) for iPod Touch and iPhone last month. The beta version of the firmware is currently available to iPhone developers and it is spreading fast on popular torrent websites as well. Unfortunately, iPhone 3G Firmware 3.0 Beta is not as stable as people might think of and that explains why many people are trying hard to downgrade their iPhone back to firmware 2.2.1.
After the first beta, Apple rolled out iPhone OS 3.0 beta 2 which is available to developers for download. In this release, push notifications and in-app purchasing are onboard together with its support for MMS and tethering, giving developers a chance to try them out.
For those who are not part of Apple Developer Program, you are still able to get the iPhone Firmware 3.0 Beta 2 on popular torrent website. For what is worth, the leaked iPhone 3G Firmware 3.0 Beta 2 carries a build number of 7A259g.
