I just finished renewing my hosting for eches.net domain for another 1 year. It's been 2 years now and I still remembered from my vague memory, how dubious I was at the moment when I was about to decide whether or not to switch to this hosting. If my memory didn't betray me, Siteground was hardly seen in any top ten hostings.
What I like the most about Siteground is its customer service support. After 2 years I had issued 17 tickets regarding several issues ranging from domain transfer to technical stuffs and they never failed to deliver responses in a timely manner (7 minutes on average). In one special issue, my domain was used to be suspended because of spamming, originated from a forum that's setup but not properly maintained. Luckily the problem was solved within 24 hours and in a very professional way.
Fantastico, is a feature in Siteground that can be proud of. You can install most of well-established CMS and PHP scripts on the fly with just few clicks. Yeah, I agree, it's better to setup the scripts manually since it can give you a better insight of goings on in the scripts and it comes handy when you need to fix a problem should they occur but fantastico will give you the flavour of operating, say, a CMS (Joomla). From the point onwards you can treasure youself on how to setup the script manually on your own.
The space and bandwidth? For me, it's more than enough. 40 GB of space and 900 GB of bandwidth are so enormous that I can barely scratch the small fraction of those capacities. With all the features and if you are serious about bringing massive traffic into your website, I would recommend you this hosting. Please bear in mind, if you are going to have few domains reside in the same hosting, this might not be a good place as the addition of 1 addon slot itself will cost you $30 a year and on top of that you need to pay extra few bucks for the extra domain.

wow, might consider the company for the next web hosting but the domain adding charge is..weird. other company does not charge for additional domain slot. thanks for the info btw.. ;)

hmm u mean subdomain eh? each extra subdomain will cost u abt $30? hmm a bit pricy.mine,is free to add unlimited subdomain.btw,u got high bandwidth anyway=)

yeah, I see monsterhost provides extra 200GB of space and 2TB of bandwidth + unlimited domains inside the same account. Maybe you should go for that :)

fish – No.Subdomain is absolutely free and unlimited..only extra domains will cost you $30 (for additional addon slot) ;)
