My hosting renewal and domains

Author: eches | Files under Hosting, Internet, My 24/7

My hosting account with Siteground is almost 2 years old and now requires renewal. I got 2 domains reside in that hosting but it's pretty expensive since I need to pay $30 for 1 additional addon slot and on top of that I need to pay few more bucks for the additional domain. If you are planning of having multiple domains I would suggest GoDaddy as I currently have another 2 domains in GoDaddy. Still, I believe there's some hostings that might offer better price but they never yet come into my sight.

For what it's worth, I'm lurking on few forums such as DigitalPoints and Dnforum where discusssion about domain, IDN domains and few other jargons I never come across before take place. If you looking for things related to SEO, buying one way backlink, Adsense, affiliates and things related to optimising your websites, DigitalPoints is the best place to be.

If you looking for infos related to domain name registration, trademark law, trademark registration and thing related to domain, DNforum seems to be the best spot to gain extra knowledge from.

Do you have any suggestion of cheap domain hostings whereabouts?

from experience, I would recommend netfirms, godaddy and namecheap. They are all easy to setup (except netfirms: slow to access from malaysia) and the domain is working perfectly.

I’m stucking with free domain (pr4) from my hosting. Don’t know if the account expired, the domain will be suspended too.

I used to use netfirms some time ago. That’s the first hosting I used for my first website. I got few problems a long the way so I switched to other hosting. Namecheap looks promising.

    Eches,

Good luck with all that. I use Godaddy.com to register and renew my domain names and I have my own VPS for hosting them.

    Thanks Garry,

I’m thinking of sticking for Godaddy as I’ve domains over there. VPS is something that I came across recently but don’t know it for sure.
