I will be sure to write about it here when I upgrade. Back in Sept. 06, on my other site, I wrote an article about Windows Vista RC1 to see if someone discovered a Time-Limit Crack or Hack. Anyway, at that time, I downloaded the Windows Vista and made my disk. I never installed it on my desktop computer becausee I knew that thing would have bogged down like crazy. But, I really will likly consider upgrading when Dell mails out my copy.

Thanks for the compliments on my new notebook. I spent quite a bit of time researching… almost purchased a MacBook… but it didn’t quite fit my needs… I am very happy with the Dell!

$10.00 for Vista upgrade? Well, if I were you I will install Vista right after I receive it ;) Your laptop is AWESOME! I think with such specs Vista will run at its full throttle and worry not a thing, Vista wont dry up your laptop horsepower.

Me, need to wait for half a year or so before switching to Vista lol..my computer is in bad shape..just barely run to complete my final year project..Hope to hear your experience using Vista soon :)

Hey man,

Most excellent and well put together article. Very helpful.

I have a new Dell Inspiron E1505 notebook. And for $10.00 (covers shipping and handling) Dell will ship me the Windows Vista upgrade free!

So, I am excited to get the disk. However, I might not install it right away. I have been using WinXp long before it was released publicly (just as many were too). I am pretty attached to XP. However, Vista is totally awesome.

I have an Intel Core 2 Duo processor with 2 gigs of memory and a 100 gig hard drive, with a 256 Meg video card, wide screen LCD screen… the works basically!

And with all that… I am still skeptical about installing Vista. The last thing I need is a slow computer. XP does everything I need. So, it is hard for me to imagine how Vista can make my life even easier.

I guess only time will tell…

Thanks for recommending the test, my PC passed all the test :) pretty cool. Planning to upgrade to vista as well, but it is too darn expensive
