Downloading number of different codecs sometimes give me headache especially when they don't really deliver what they are supposed to. Luckily we have been seeing more and more universal players like VLC filling up the gap with their superb capability to play most of the encoded video formats like AVI, DAT, MPEG, DivX and XviD. Thanks to their own built-in codec system.
If you like VLC player you should try GOM player as well. GOM Player is a free multimedia player that can play wide array of video formats without the need to install separate codecs. Playing files that are being downloaded from the Internet or broken during downloading process are not possible several years ago but GOM player is like any versatile video players, is equipped with a pretty mundane feature that allows us to view the broken videos.
GOM Player also supports multiple format of subtitles like SMI, SUB, RT and SRT. A built-in screenshot feature is part of GOM player which allows you to capture screenshots of your favorite videos up to 999 shots.
Apparently for a standard player like GOM Media Player, it allows user to customize brightness, saturation, contrast and sharpness to better suit your preference. Last but not least, it also includes an audio equalizer to cater your liking.
To wrap up everything, GOM player is an astounding multimedia player and best of all is a freeware.
