New VLC Player (0.9.2), codenamed Grishenko has been released for everyone to download. VLC player is a versatile open source media player and has been ubiquitously used by many people due to its capability of playing many video formats thrown at it. This latest VLC player underwent 2-year development and as a result, there are many new functionalities introduced with major revamp on the user interface and its design.
The newly updated software features metadata tags editor, album art support and as everyone knows, it is a highly portable multimedia player for various audio and video formats (MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, DivX, mp3, ogg, etc.) as well as DVDs, VCDs, and various streaming protocols.
