Langit: Another wordpress theme for public release

At first I thought of making this new WordPress theme exclusively for my new blog but after half way through of completing it I made up my mind to release Langit to the public. This theme was already ready couple of days ago but due to late release of WordPress 2.5, I put the release on hold, just to make sure everything is fully compatible with WordPress latest version.

Since gravatar is now part of the WordPress entity and no longer a mere plugin, I employ this special feature into this theme and you can see this feature in comment section. For WordPress users who still uses WordPress 2.3.3 and below, you can still enjoy gravatar feature without the need of installing the plugin, special thanks to Connor Wilson for showing us on how to do that.

Fluency: WordPress 2.5 administration theme

WordPress 2.5 was due to be released on 10th of March but it has been adjourned to 17th of Match. Even though it is not yet to be released you can test drive the new version of wordpress here. For those who still don't know what changes had taken place, the backend interface has undergone major changes as compared to WordPress 2.3.3 and I'm pretty sure wordpress users will need some time to get used to this new interface.

Whilst many bloggers share the same experience as me, DeanJRobinson comes up with a brilliant WordPress administration theme which will definitely give wordpress users a great help. DeanJRobinson's masterpiece provides wordpress user an intuitive navigation flow, a better solution as compared to the backend interface default that looks a little bit clutter. The following are some of the screenshots of Fluency, the WordPress administration theme.

With the simplicity and intuitiveness, it definitely appeals many wordpress users to use it but on the contrary, I choose to take some time to treasure the new features brought into WordPress 2.5.

Hello guys! I just learnt that the final round of Lunarpages wordpress themes contest has already started and 1 of my themes (Damai) is there. Thanks to Imam, Azwan and Affuan for the heads up. Current position is not very promising and it's a long way off. Vote for my theme if you think Damai deserve to win, otherwise you may cast you vote to the other 11 beautiful themes (sound cheesy huh ;p).

Winning the competition might be the ultimate goal for some people but for me, seeing my themes being used by people across the globe, transcending language barrier, is more rewarding. WordPress theme: Tranquility inside Damai Theme

It has been over a week I didn't write up anything; busy finalizing my second wordpress theme, Damai theme (see my first debut too). Thanks a bunch for trying out and using this theme. o2 2.0: WordPress theme to be downloaded

I was learning how to code a wordpress theme from WPDesigner tutorial when an idea of making a complete overhaul on this blog struck my mind. Basically o2 2.0 is originated from the tutorial template where I further shape up the theme according to my like. It looks ok, so i think it would be great if I can share this theme with all of you.

Anyway here's the features of this theme.

- clean and simple ( the folder size is roughly 80kb)

Updates: Adsense Integration

1. Put 468x60 ads between

and

in header.php

2. In style.css, go to "468x60 banner zone". Replace everything between #header_r_ads { and } with

margin:2px 0 0 30px; padding:0;
width:468px;
height:62px;

3. Find "background-image:url(images/ads-holder.jpg);" under #header_r
and delete it. So it should look like the following

Appealing WordPress themes

Currently there are two wordpress themes that I bumped into and they really catch my attention. I'm not sure how long they have been around but I didn't notice their existence previously. The first one is the first picture at the top, named Illacrimo. It looks stylish and professional; was designed by Design Disease.

The second one is Leia. I've already modified it to suit my new blog for naruto anime. So what do you think? .

This theme was created by Design Disease for Blogging Pro, we have made a few changes for public release though, including:

- making the site information text, rather than an image
- making the navigation text rather than images
- removing one of the Adsense spots we have on our site
- making sure the third column can be used for more than just advertising

WordPress theme: Redoable

Redoable is another classy wordpress theme and is based on k2 theme. Significant features are incoporated into this theme with over 20 different modules available to use. Though it is based on K2, both Redoable and K2 can coexist in your blog as they are separate entities and don't share the same config.

Redoable is not a style for K2, it is an independant theme. You can have both K2 and Redoable installed on your blog at the same time as they do not share any config options and can be configured seperately.

What I like the most about this theme is there are variety of styles that can be used when you are writing up a post and it can be easily done through "write post" screen.

WordPress themes compilation

Ok guys, I'm back and ready to pour down few more posts in this blog soon enough :) For your information, I just finished creating a new page for wordpress themes collection ( it can be reached via the top menu). I found quite a lot of WordPress themes around the internet that have professional look and personally appeal my eyes but very few of them I comment on or features them in my posts. So, I dedicate this page to the wordpress theme designers who strive for the perfection in carving out their themes and kindly made the themes available for free to WordPress users.

Currently, I have 8 favourite WordPress themes and more will be added soon (I lost the other great themes whereabouts, sigh). I hope you will find this page useful especially when you are about to rejuvenate your blog with new look or when you plan to start a new blog.

Professional and classy WordPress Theme – Tigopedia 1.0

DJ FLush over at Sizlopedia has a great theme, Tigopedia which he's just made recently. This theme is based on Tiga theme but several remarkable enhancements and features are being incorporated into it.

There are few things that I like about this theme. The look of this theme is classy, catchy, it's optimised for adsense (just insert your Adsense pub-ID) and much freedom is given to WordPress users to change the width of sidebars and middle bar with just a few alterations from Tigopedia admin screen. How To – Design Your Own WordPress Theme

Bloggingpro.com points out a good site (texto.de) to be visited if you are about to start designing your own wordpress theme. This tutorial will be of great help if you know a little bit of xhtml and css but have no idea how to connect them together. I personally really want to put a try on this tutorial, unfortunately, I don't have time to play around with the codings given. Hopefully, the Christmas break will provide me some space to have a go in this detail tutorial.

Unwakeable is another theme that caught my attention and it is somehow influenced by K2 0.9.1 and unsleepable.

The author of this theme adds some functionalities to it such as Digg This Reloaded, Digg Integrator, WP-PostRatings, WP-PostViews, WordCount and WP Admin Bar. Tiga: Clean theme for wordpress

I was looking for new theme to try on, when "tiga" theme caught my attention. It's a familiar word in Malaysia which mean three. I headed to the tiga theme's blog and as expected, it's a wordpress theme made by a malaysian. I found this theme appealing because it gives you better control of your theme through the admin screen (i.e the width of the theme) and its simplicity.

For someone who is new to wordpress, this theme will give you a good headstart and keep your spirit up. The following is the series of the tiga theme screenshots and I bet you would fall in love with this theme.

Themes: Template Extreme

I've tried to setup wordpress several times previously, but was always demotivated by the look of wordpress default theme, kinda dull.

There are hundreds and thousands of themes all over the net, and day by day keep increasing rapidly but nothing looks appealing until I foundÂ Template Extreme. The design is simple yet sleek and professional. I was ready to pay few quids for the template, fortunately it's free. Immediately after installing the theme, IÂ started to lookÂ for the plugins and few css enhancements for the website. I dont really remember the web sources but I will update this post later.

Frankly speaking, I myself dont have basic in css and php coding, and having this theme is like a godsend. wordpress themes css phpÂ
