Melayu Boleh – Wangcyber SEO challenge ends

This is an advance post. By the time this post hits the front page, I'm most likely in Advance Circuit Design lab. Congratulation to the winner, I guess everybody in this contest notices Adam is a clear winner :)

This contest gives me the opportunity to treasure and to look for the missing pieces of SEO jigsaw puzzles. As search engines algorithms change over time to cater better needs for visitors, the SEO might be an endless journey to webmasters who strive to gain high rank for SERPs. So, keep observing and learning, I'm sure it pays off.

Day 29: Melayu Boleh – Wangcyber SEO challenge

My blog slips a little bit today in four major search engines which I believe is due to the changes I made yesterday. When I migrated the "updates section" from Melayu Boleh SEO challenge page to a new page, it caused the density dilution to melayu boleh keyword. I've restored the SEO challenge page to the previous one and hope to see the changes in few days' time. No more changes as of today, I'm just waiting for the second challenge and hopefully I have time to spend for the next challenge.

I just hope my blog will be in the first page of Yahoo, Altavista, Google and MSN. For me, it's a great personal achivement as this blog started off at 200+ in most of search engine result pages (SERPs) and being in the first page of search engines at the end of this contest is definitely something that can be proud of :)

Day 24: Melayu boleh – Wangcyber SEO challenge

I will not comment much on melayu boleh SEO challenge, just a screenshot of my blog position in Google and Yahoo. I rather talk about the next SEO challenge that will start on the first of February. Why, I seem desperately want to talk about the second challenge?

The second Wangcyber SEO challenge will give away RM 500 cash (first prize), 3 vouchers from Exabytes worth RM 199 for each of runners-up (for domain and hosting plan) and 50% discount on the F1 Malaysian Grand Prix 2007 ticket (2 tickets). The discount on the F1 ticket is not confirmed yet and is expected to get the confirmation in few days' time. I hope to see more Malaysians to take part in this contest and be sure to register as a Wangcyber forum member to be entitled to the prizes.

Day 18: Melayu Boleh – WangCyber SEO challenge

This is a busy week with two reports need to be handed in by next weekend. So, I just want to give a brief update of my blog performance on WangCyber SEO challenge. My blog seems to settle down at the current position for couple of days.

Day 13: Melayu boleh – WangCyber SEO Challenge

It's day 13 and the Melayu boleh challenge is almost half way through. I notice few websites/blogs emerge rapidly to the top 20 Google and Yahoo search engines and it's a sign that everyone buckles down to get a better place in search engines :) Here's the current position of Eches Blog as I'm writing this post.

Day 11: Melayu boleh – WangCyber SEO Challenge

There's significant improvement of my blog ranking in Google and Yahoo for melayu boleh keyword, where I got 60th place in Yahoo and 11th place in Google. As I got better place in ranking, there are more new rivals coming into the competition and making fast move to the top ranking. It's getting intensed :)

Here's a brief summary of today's update. Enaku has finally grabbed the melayu boleh's throne in yahoo search engine whilst neyokes, a newcomer(he might have been around for quite some time) has now taken the 3rd place in Google. Smartusaha, one of big names in Wangcyber has got his new blog, 101 melayu boleh indexed in less than 24 hours, credit goes to his PR5 blog, Smartusaha for providing valuable one way backlink.

Me: It's good to see everybody making their way to the top and making good progress. i'm expecting more involvement of Wangcyber members in Melayu Boleh: Wangcyber SEO challenge. It's not all about the money but it's about melayu boleh (Malay can) spirit :) Yoshh!

Day 8: Melayu boleh SEO challenge

I just checked my blog and it seems Google is doing fast job in indexing my recent posts and has updated the entry of melayu boleh keyword in my blog description. Yahoo? The latest entry that appear on yahoo search is my post about wordpress 2.0.6 upgrade released. Pretty fast too!

While Yahoo and Google bots are busy doing their job, I rummage through DigitalPoint forums looking for SEO tips that can be used in this competition. The forumers also point out to some useful links that contains comprehensive SEO guides. I will summarise all the SEO tips that I've been through in future post.

Melayu boleh: Wang Cyber SEO challenge

Wang Cyber (A forum for Malaysian internet marketers) SEO challenge has been running for a week, but I just decided to get into this competition. It's pretty a late start as this challenge will end by the end of this month. The challenge might sounds simple to some of you but it's surely a tough one as participants need to get the highest possible ranking in Google and Yahoo for melayu boleh keyword, one of the hottest keyword in south east asia region.

What is so special about this keyword (melayu boleh)? Check melayu boleh challenge for more information. As the competition go along I will update how this blog performs in Google and Yahoo search engines ranking and from time to time I will post SEO techniques that I found effective to in pushing my blog to a better place.
