When I first registered with Ebay Partner network (EPN) back in April 2008, EPN had already moved out from Commission Junction (CJ). For the record, this was my second attempt in indulging myself in affiliates business after my first attempt with Clickbank back in early 2007. With virtually no promotion and backlinks creation due to hectic life of being a final year student, I still managed to get a meager $60+ (2 sales).

It's a long hiatus before I made a comeback on affiliates business but this time with EPN. Apparently I don't stick with Clickbank, at least for the time being, mainly due to the nature of EPN operation that suits me better; no BUM marketing etc. Generating highly targeted traffic on EPN revolves around SEO, Squidoo, Hubpages etc and those are the things I'm good at. Ok let's get to the business.

What do I get paid for?
Each eBay Partner Network advertiser will be paid for complete purchase (winning bid) and registration where each action has a different payment structure.

How much will I get paid?
EPN is one of the most generous affiliate commissions on the net and your earnings are very much depending on how many quality traffic you can drive every month. – the more your traffic you got, the more you earn.

The rates of eBay partner programs are as follows :

1. Compensation per ACRU (active user after registration)

0 - 49 $25.00
50 - 1,999 $28.00
2000 - 29,999 $31.00
30,000+ $35.00

2. Monthly winning bid revenue tiers
Total winning bid revenue generated % of Revenue
$0.00 - $99.99 50.00%
$100.00 - $4,999.99 55.00%
$5,000.00 - $199,999.99 60.00%
$200,000.00 - $699,999.99 65.00%
$700,000.00 - $2,999,999.99 70.00%
$3,000,000.00+ 75.00%

The commission and compensation per ACRU are lucrative and if you pick the right niche combined with the right marketing & promotion, you should be able to get decent money every month.

Currently, I have 7 stores (from Build A Niche store - BANS) and 2 stores (from PHPBay Pro) and most of the stores are not fully developed and promoted yet. I will give reviews on these two scripts which have been used ubiquitously by eBay advertisers soon.

Referrals will be out of the Adsense equation and as a replacement, Google has relaunched DoubleClick’s Performics ad affiliate network as the new Google Affiliate Network. For me I'm not entirely affected by this move since I only generate small amount of earnings from referrals. Anyway here's the excerpt from Adsense's blog.

We're constantly looking for ways to improve AdSense by developing and supporting features which drive the best monetization results for our publishers. Sometimes, this requires retiring existing features so we can focus our efforts on the ones that will be most effective in the long term. For this reason, we will be retiring the AdSense Referrals program during the last week of August. We appreciate your patience during this transition and here are some alternative options to consider:

Google Affiliate Network: As part of the integration of DoubleClick, the DoubleClick Performics Affiliate Network will now operate as the Google Affiliate Network for advertisers targeting users located in the United States. Similar to the AdSense Referrals program, the Google Affiliate Network enables publishers to apply for advertiser programs and get paid based on advertiser-defined actions instead of clicks or impressions. For further details, please visit: http://www.google.com/ads/affiliatenetwork/.

AdSense for content ads: If you have less than three AdSense for content ad units on a page, you may wish to replace the referral ad units with standard AdSense for content ad units.

If you currently use referral ads, either to promote Google products or offerings from AdWords advertisers, AdSense Referrals code will no longer display ads beginning the last week of August. We encourage you to take the following steps before the product is retired:

Remove the referral code from your site(s): Please take a moment to remove all referral code from your sites before the last week of August, so you can continue to effectively monetize your ad space.

Run and save all referrals reports on your desktop: Create and save all reports related to the referrals program on your desktop, so you continue to have access to your valuable campaign information.

This is another opportunity to monetize your website with another Ad network program - Matched.co.uk, a UK based company. You are going to be paid in pound sterling (GBP)! which means more money because of the currency exchange rate.

How Matched.co.uk works?

Every advertiser will be paid £3/month for every single page regardless of your pagerank (PR). You can place up to 5 pages per domain at any individual post in your blog (you can add up to 5 domains) and you will always be paid £3/page/month. So you can earn up to £75/month which roughly equivalent to $150. The ads format looks pretty much like adsense ads but don't worry, you can always put matched.co.uk ads along with adsense ads.

When you sign up, Matched.co.uk will give you £5 in advance (Wow, you already have £5 just before your pages are allocated to specific advertisers). As far as the payment is concerned you can use Paypal to draw your earnings.

The ad format

Just to highlight this thing again even I had already mentioned earlier on, the ads looks similar to adsense ads but rest assured, Matched.co.uk staffs say both ads can be placed on the same page together.

Tips: How to get advertisements almost instantly after registration?

Some might wonder why there's no advertiser interested in putting up ads on the submitted page and some might have been waiting for more than a month. Here's the trick. For your information most of the advertisers are coming from the following niches:

• Finance
• Business
• Insurance
• Debt
• Marine Activities
• Dating
• Health
• Real Estate
• Legal

So you need to make sure your page is related to either of the above niches. I tried this myself and it works :) So what are waiting for?

Sign up here

TNX is a new text link advertising platform emerges to serve both publishers and advertisers equally and it has been around the internet since September 2007. TNX offers publishers the opportunity to earn TNX points which can be used in 2 ways; simply by displaying TNX text ad links of their pages or sell the points to TNX to get money. Advertisers also enjoy cheap and effective way of getting high-volume, non-reciprocal links from thousands of websites.

For only a few bucks you can get thousand of pages pointing to your blog and you can buy 20,000 points for a mere $30 a month. With abundance of free points, advertisers has the capacity to promote to thousands of publishers' websites, all can be done on the fly from TNX control panel. As an advertiser you will also receive well-targeted traffic from relevant websites. Below is the advertising cost structure used in TNX.

In order to fund the account you will need to purchase TNX-points. There is no minimum amount of points you can purchase, but it is suggested that you buy more points. In case you place an order for links that have Google PR above zero you will need to maintain positive balance on your account in order to get more links activated. For example: For less than $30 you can get about 20,000 TNX-Points. You can also tranfer TNX-points to other users request a refund of the funds spent (transfers are not obligated by any commissions). Price of TNX-Points will grow as well as advertising cost, so it is suggested that you purchase as much TNX-Points as you can. Later you can eather sell them to other members, get a full refund of your initial payment or use them to advertise your business with TNX once you see for yourself that TNX really does work!
What can you do with 20,000 TNX-Points?
In case website characteristics are not important (YahooBacklinks [YB] below 500, category "Fun and Games"), then you can buy a month (in case spots are available) of static links to your site:

- 20 000 different PR0 pages from different websites
- 400 different PR1 pages from different websites
- 200 different PR2 pages from different websites
- 100 different PR3 pages from different websites
- 40 different PR4 pages from different websites
- 20 different PR5 pages from different websites

The registration is easy. You need to provide them info related to your blog and your blog should be in TNX inventory after a day or two; ready to harness money for you. Even though it has lot of buttons, but they are placed intuitively on the left sidebar, make it easy for new people to navigate through its system and get used to it.

After registration you will be awarded with 2000 free points, so you can test drive the service right away. If you are looking for additional free point wait no more, head right to the following link, Digitalpoint Forums.

The more pages you get in your blog, the bigger the chances of getting big money :D

Widgetbucks has been around for quite some time and I just signed up for this program a few days ago. Widgetbucks is akin to Chitika eMinimalls with interactive advertisements, flashes ads one after another. Widget comes in different sizes and it can be customized to the color you like. Basically there are 15 categories with subcategories for you to choose from. If you have specific niche you can select the suitable category to fit into your blog or else you may choose to run the ads in the contextual mode (MerchSense).

How to make money?

You will be paid on cost per click (CPC) basis. From what I've learnt, the CPC of each click will be the same for one category but differs from one category to another, ranges from $0.10 to $0.40+.

How you will be paid?

You will be entitled for payment after you reach $50 and you can choose whether to be paid via Paypal or check. You will need half the effort to reach this value as you will be given instant $25 bonus on sign-up. The affiliate program also offers lucrative bonus; you can earn a 10 percent referral fee based on the commissions earned by the people they refer. Affiliates receive this 10 percent for the full 12 months after the new member joins.

My personal opinion

- I like the range of colors and how it switches from one product to another.
- The report is updated regularly, pretty much the same as Adsense.
- The load is not fast, it can take from 1 - 3 seconds and sometimes more (I guess partly due to my connection)
- The earning is pretty good :)

Although it has been around for quite some time, I just signed up with this company 3 weeks ago. As Advertlets ads made its first appearance on one of my websites, I didn't expect much out of it. After running the ads for the first few days, the result was not very encouraging. The daily earning hardly reached RM 0.50. Even with few cents rolled into my account, I still kept it high up above the fold. Well, something is better than nothing right.

As the ads were fully placed all over my websites, Advertlets showed its true potential of being another online income source. So far I can get around RM 4 to RM 6 daily. Not much but decent money :) If you are wondering why your earning does not reflect your massive traffic, please note that since Advertlets is geolocated ads, international traffic will appear irrelevant and this explains why the earning is low.

What I like about this company is their quick response to cater the monstrous load on their server and to fulfill the needs of publishers that keep growing in size. Adverlets decision to upgrade its server performance is a brilliant move to gain the edge over its competitors and to ensure seamless operation of its network.

Visit Advertlets to get more info and if you have question don't hesitate to ask them. They are responsive and good at support.

How it works? Basically, advertisers will create a campaign or press release to promote something or anything. After that the campaign is launched and is displayed at LoudLaunch.com for bloggers to pick it up. Bloggers are required to post on their blog about the advertisers’ campaign.

This service also adopts the same approach as PayPerPost and few other pay per post services where blogger are required to display the disclosure button for transparency purpose. You can submit as many blog as you have and once approved, you can write up to 2 post a day for each blog. For those who are not aware of the LoudLaunch, I'm sure there a lot of questions lingering on your mind, so why not go straight on to Frequently Asked Questions for more information.

All you need to do is to register and activate you account. Yes, they do ask for a debit/credit card to be activated, but they do not charge your account unless your advertising campaign goes beyond the $20. It will take a day or two before your campaign is approved by Bidvertiser and upon approval you campaign will start automatically.

The contextual ads might not be as good as Adsense but they are giving away $20 for free. There's nothing to lose! :) Grab it fast, time is ticking away.

One way of promoting your affiliate product is by giving them a short review on the usability, effectiveness of a product and your personal thought and reflection about it. Review attracts prospective buyers to go through it in order to gain more information about a product before deciding to buy it or not.

A well written review might not be enough to convince your potential buyers if they notice your affiliate id in the product's link. For the sake of clarity, let's take a look at the following
example (try to hover at both links and see what appear at status bar):

1. Product 1 review
2. Product 1 review

Both links are pointing to the same page but the second link will do better work in convincing your potential buyers to buy the product as compared to the first link as it does not display your affiliate id.

In order to hide the affiliate link, we are going to put the following code between

and

inside your index.htm or index.html and set the URL to the product's page.

<script language="javascript">
window.location="http://www.ProductPage.com/YourAffiliateId";
</script>

This will somehow increase the credibility of the review and should increase your affiliate sales.

I always wonder how people make decent money through affiliates. So 2 months ago I setup a website, provides reviews of few selected product, proven to be effective in increasing sales and traffic. I didn't bother much about how much sales I could get from the review, I just wanna get the flavour of starting an affiliate website. Once the site's up and running I leave it for about 2 months.

Few days ago, out of the blue, I check my Clickbank account, just to keep it active and see the goings-on and changes in Clickbank. I'm about to leave Clickbank when the following screen caught my attention.

Yeah, it's not a big shot but I didn't expect to get any sales at all. This sale really inspires me to rummage through the Digital Points forum, looking for tips and advices to effectively start an affiliate marketing. Wish me luck for the coming 2007 :).

H.S. Ayoub has a brilliant tips on how to get higher Adsense Click Values. This method effectively increases his daily earnings since trying it.

I found that if you post an article on your blog very late at night, maybe at midnight or a little later, the revenue per click generated during the next day is higher, by almost 50%

Why? I thought about that question for a few days, and the best theory that I could come up with was that the advertisers with the highest per click budget show up on top of all the other ads early in the day, but their budget limit is reached quicker.

By the afternoon the higher paying ads shut off untill the next day, while the cheaper ads now show up on top of the ad block.

His observation is done based on U.S. eastern time (-0500 GMT). This tips might not work to everyone as it depends on the niche and visitors but it's worth to give a try.

Another Pay Per Post program (ReviewMe) emerges, giving bloggers more room to get extra money by writing sponsored post. The ReviewMe claims bloggers would be able to get $20 to $200, and it will depend on the Alexa and Technorati rankings, traffic, Page Rank of the bloggers' websites. Bloggers are required to disclose the written post as a sponsored post and interestingly the reviews does not neccesarily need to be positive.

The signup process is simple. Submit your site for review, and once approved you will be entering the ReviewMe marketplaces. You can accept or reject an offer made by the sponsors.

I rather wait for sometimes and see how this new kind of program evolves and revolves around the blogsphere before deciding to join into this program. If you really into this program or other programs that are much alike and having some experiences about how these programs generally affect your blog or website, please share them with us.
