Here is Dev Team's second greatest gift after Yellosn0w; Redsn0w. After successfully unlocking and jailbreaking iPod Touch first generation and the iPhone 3G, iPod Touch 2G is the only Apple's device that was on the list of Dev Team. Redsn0w project was initiated right after the debut of yellowsn0w on new year's eve. It is not an easy job and it's reflected on the the time taken to get first beta version of Redsn0w iPod Touch 2G jailbreak Tool released to the public.
Redsn0w Beta is currently distributed to the public over torrent network but it is worth to point out that Redsn0w first beta version is not for everyone. There is no graphic user interface (GUI) and the only way to get this thing done is by using command line. As suggested by Dev Team, it is advisable that the Redsn0w Beta to be applied only by expert users. If you are not entirely comfortable with using the command line, it is better to wait for simpler solution (tools) that will be out real soon.

i have used the command line version of redsn0w and it is amazing it works perfectly. you dont have to mess with a GUI ant it is fully automated.y= you dont even have to download a firmware ispw. it is amazing

Does it matter what version of the software is installed, toprevent corruption?
can u put up a tutorial video so we can do it ourselves bcuz i kno tons of ppl that really want the jailbreak.
