Apple surprised the world when it rolled out the world’s smallest music player; the all-new 3rd Generation iPod shuffle 2009. This new device is nearly half of the size of its predecessor and it is the first music player that talks to you, thanks to the VoiceOver functionality. With significant reduction of its size, iPod Shuffle 3G has close resemblance to a mini flash drive.
There are sure some compromises with this small device such as the lack of display but it doesn't mean Apple is not able to impress us by offering a better trade-off. iPod Shuffle 3G brings remarkable features such as bigger space storage (4 GB with roughly 1000 songs to hold up) and the aforementioned feature, VoiceOver that revolutionizes iPod Shuffle. It all begins with iTunes and its seamless integration with iPod. iTunes reads your song information, then uses the new VoiceOver Kit to generate the announcements for the songs, artists, and playlists on your iPod shuffle.
The other down sides are battery life is about 1 hour lower than on the iPod shuffle 2G and you need a special ear buds that come with the new iPod shuffle as they carry the remote to control the device.
There are 2 colors available for the new iPod Shuffle; silver and black which can be purchased for only $79.
It is hard to tell whether the new iPod shuffle is a hit or a miss but the sale numbers will tell if Apple goes in the right direction with this new device.

I really think everything is awesome with this new device. The price, the design, the whole package. It is still very new but the accessories will be coming in short time. Yeah, a lot of people might be disappointed with the earphones, but for the size the device really can’t be beat.
My new iPod shuffle is on its way. I cant wait.

I think there is another downside for the voiceover thinggy. How about none english audio title? maybe japanese, korea, bahasa melayu, chinese.. i bet it sound funny :p
