You give me a good idea of what my next blog would be. I've seen another blog of yours and the reviews seems making a good lead to your amazon products :)

Eches,

Seriously... I think we all need to try something different. In the late 90's we had the .Com Rage... buying domains, selling them, registering them, etc...

and now we have Google Adsense. Granted, these two things are unrelated... but its the phase I am talking about.

Everyone I know has Google Adsense on their sites... everyone who knows everyone knows what Google Adsense is.

Now, there are sites out there that draw in quite a bit of traffic and do well with Google Adsense.. others not.

I have quite a few sites one in particular (not GarryConn.com) receives quite a bit of traffic to. The site is a PR5 and brought in last month 36000+ total visits with over 354,000 page views. With all that traffic, I made $68.00. That's not a lot of money at all. I can't see how it is worth using up the space for such a little amount of money.

Unless you are targeting traffic that doesn't know what Google Adsense is, then I don't think it will be very successful for you.

I like the fact that you have an Amazon.com advertisement on your site. That is effective. It would become even more effective if you were to create a few article that backed up the amazon.com advertisement.

Right now I am viewing an advertisement on your site for a book called "Building Your Business with Google for Dummies". That book sounds interesting. Now I am looking for an article that you wrote about this book... Oops, there isn't one, so maybe that book isn't too good after all.

See what I mean. People would probably buy this book if you talk about about it in post. It would be even better if you talked about it because you owned it.

Do you like Cell phones? Which cell phone do you have? Why do you like it? Why would you recommend that I buy it too!

Do you have a laptop, wireless router, digital camera, etc... why did you buy these products? Why do you like them? Why should I buy them too!

Now that's marketing baby! If you create some really good reviews on products that YOU personally enjoy, own, and buy into... and talk about that to your viewers, that creates product interest... and product interest creates leads to Amazon.com and Amazon.com creates buyers and paying customers.

One of the only reasons why I have Adsense on any of my sites is for SEO and PR Points.

And in all honesty, I check my Adsense reports daily... I check to see how many clicks I got, because each Google Adsense click represents a missed sale on Amazon.com.

If you are selling on Amazon.com, then having Google Adsense on your site is a marketing conflict of interest.

If you lead people to other sites that sell what you are selling, then you are just passing the sale to someone else and not collecting on it yourself!

Understand who the people are that view your site. Understand what they are interested in. Control your external links out of your site. Pave a path in which your viewers navigate (as well as Google Bots) and market relevant products that interest the people that view your site.
